Mission
The mission of Westmoreland Youth Sports, Inc. is to encourage and support the activities of the recreational league and the middle school sports programs. Our commitment includes support for the programs, athletes, coaches, and members.
Westmoreland Youth Sports includes anyone interested in recreational sports for children aged 5 to 11. We encourage and support all of the recreational sports teams, athletes, and coaches. We provide all necessary team equipment, field needs, medical kits, and uniforms for each respective sport. We provide assistance to coaches when needed through instruction and coaching techniques.
WYSI along with parents, coaches, and school staff supply support and assistance to the school’s athletic programs and student athletes. Throughout the year we conduct activities. These typically include: The Westmoreland Invitational Soccer Tournament held the third weekend in October, work days to improve or maintain the athletic facilities, and the Athletic Awards Banquet held in June.
Current Programming
Recreational Soccer
Sign-ups will be held in August. The season runs from the beginning of September through October for a total of 6-8 weeks.
Teams micro-soccer strategy (small teams)
5-6 year old co-ed teams
7-8 year old co-ed teams
9-11 year old co-ed teams
7-8 year old co-ed teams
9-11 year old co-ed teams
Coaches, referees, and helpers are needed.
Forms will be sent home with students during the first week of school. Emailed forms are also available.
Basketball
Sign-ups will be held in November. The season runs from late November through February.
Teams:
K-2 Skills and Drills co-ed
3rd and 4th grade co-ed
5th and 6th grade co-ed
Coaches, referees, and helpers are needed. Forms will be sent home with students the last week of October.
Baseball
Sign-ups are conducted through Greater Keene Youth Baseball Softball Association (GKYBSA)
We are looking to expand our offerings (i.e. cross country running, pickleball, jump rope team, etc.). To make this happen we need community volunteers who would have the time and knowledge to make this happen.

We need you! The success of WYSI is dependent on volunteers! Family and community involvement is essential in developing and running youth sport programming in our town.
